Old School Survival Skills: Lesson 1-Cooking Skills

Lesson 1-Cooking Skills: Beginning      Ages 9-12 years. 

·        HAND TOOLS- Each person will learn how to use: knives for cutting vegetables or fruit, vegetable peeler.

·        MEASURING- Each person will follow a recipe to make their own play dough.

·        HOW TO FRY AN EGG! – Each person will use a frypan, hot plate and learn how to flip the egg.

·        FOLLOWING A RECIPE, pancakes- Each person will follow the instructions on the recipe to make their own pancake mix.

·        GRILLED CHEESE-need I say more?

·        EGG DROP SOUP

·        BROWNING HAMBURGER/GROUND MEAT (TURKEY, LAMB, Buffalo?) and all the things you can do with it! Chili, meat loaf, tacos, vegetable soup!

·        SALAD
