Recasting the Classics with Author Nghi Vo

Join Nghi Vo in this virtual event where she will delve into the worlds created by her novel and novellas. After reading from her debut novel The Chosen and the Beautiful, she will discuss her fantastic reimagining of The Great Gatsby and the impact of myths made new.


We will also be livestreaming this event in person in the North & South Meeting Rooms. You do not need to register to attend in person. Attend online or in-person for your chance to win a signed copy of The Chosen and the Beautiful.

Author Bio:

Nghi Vo is the author of the acclaimed novellas When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain and The Empress of Salt and Fortune, a Hugo, Locus, and Ignyte Award finalist and the winner of Reddit’s Stabby and IAFA’s Crawford Award. Born in Illinois, she now lives on the shores of Lake Michigan. She believes in the ritual of lipstick, the power of stories, and the right to change your mind. The Chosen and the Beautiful is her debut novel.
